Washington Irving (born  April 3, 1783, New York - November 28, 1859, Tarrytown, New York) - an outstanding American romantic writer, who is often called "the father of American literature".   The stories "Rip Van Winkle" and "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" became the most famous of all of his writings.

Thrilling?.. Why not!

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow

by Washington Irving

Since the childhood I heard this story a lot of times. And I'm sure that everyone did. But, unfortunately, I was not presented the opportunity to read this story. I was just busy reading something else. But now I'm really excited I've come across this thing. Cause I truly believe it is classic! The state of my being in love with horror stories has just to make everything much more fascinating. And the fact that I know what the story is going to be about doesn't disappoint me( luckily I'm not scared of the spoilers). Of course I have some expectations, and I  hope them to be approved. I want it to be really mysterious, thrilling, having a good end... so to say, I  expect it to be nor less great than the movie "Sleepy Hollow" with Johnny Depp. I think you may be interested in this story as well. So here you are "Sleeeeeeepy Hoooolloooow"

And here I am!.

Hello, everyone! Finally I have a blog. Being honest I've never thought I was going to have one. But also now I should confess that I'm intrigued. It's a new experience to be involved in such kind of activity. It's a new thing to work in such a way especially in a course of studying. We know that everything new attracts our attention till the moment we understand that it is  nonsense or  really awesome thing(and I sincerely hope it's gonna be the second variant). Also, the thing I like even more is to share your thoughts and opinions, and, it goes without saying, to know what people think about that. Sometimes it's difficult to explain why do you think so, but you want people to know about your opinion, even if they do not understand it. So, I hope that everyone will succeed in obtaining such a mainstream activity as being a blogger. Who knows, maybe it's going to be someone's profession in the future. So, one more time, good luck!
Maybe a bit of spring will help us to be more creative :)
